Prof. Dr. Klaus Gottschalk

Studied physics at the Free University of Berlin, then doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) at the Technical University of Berlin. Since 1992 scientific employee at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering Potsdam-Bornim e.V. (ATB), Dept. Technology of Processing, Storage and Preservation. From 2006 he also holds an honorary professorship at Szent István University, Gödöllö, Hungary. Guest lectures at the University of Rostock, BTU Cottbus, in Njoro, Kenya and Cairo, Egypt. His work focuses on the mathematical-physical modeling of heat and mass transfers in bulk agricultural materials as well as flow processes in storage rooms for climate control of warehouses.
In addition, he is involved in the development of methods for recording the condition and quality of agricultural goods.
