Peter Wieschollek
Peter Wieschollek was born in 1953 in Iserlohn, Westphalia. He graduated from high school in Uelzen, did his community service there, played soccer for the Teutonia and boxed for the Uelzen boxing club for a few years. After studying Protestant theology in Hamburg and Tübingen, he took up his first pastorate in Faßberg in 1984. He was an evangelical military pastor from 1994 to 2006, including 10 years in the United States. Until 2013, the author was a pastor in the Wendland region (Lüchow-Dannenberg district). He now lives in retirement back in Faßberg in the Lüneburg Heath. Married since 1980, he has three children and three grandchildren, whose number may well increase.
