Oliver Ulm

“With my photography I want to show the beauty and vulnerability of nature. My wish is to encourage as many people as possible to get involved in their conservation,” says wildlife and nature photographer Oliver Ulmer.

Even at a young age, he spent every free moment out in nature and was committed to its protection. In 2009 Oliver Ulmer then found nature photography and a way to express his fascination for nature and share it with other people.

He began by looking at special habitats. First smaller projects, such as the documentation of the Elbe island “Hachedesand”, were followed in 2012 by “Danube Delta”, which he documented together with a photographer friend during several trips to Romania. They presented the results in multivisions and exhibitions to a wide audience. Oliver Ulmer brought back further photographic works from trips to Africa, Brazil and Alaska. In 2014, he finally began work on “Elbtalauen”.
